The Azelis Board is chaired by Andrew Simon. During the past 14 years Andrew has been involved with 25 different businesses in the UK, Europe and North America covering both public companies and private equity businesses, many of these were or are in the distribution sector . He is currently on the Board of Finning Int, Travis Perkins plc, SGL Carbon AG and Brake Brothers.


The Executive
The Azelis Executive has delegated powers from the Operating Partners who are the managing directors of the national member companies.

Each Operating Partner is an equity partner in Azelis.

 

H U Wenzel, Chief Executive Officer: Dr Wenzel founded Novorchem S.r.l., the Italian ‘root’ of Azelis in 1996. His experience of the chemical industry began in Hoechst where he worked on major restructuring projects, mergers and divestments. It was his vision of the trend in European distribution that led to the creation of Azelis and has subsequently driven its rapid growth and success through the pursuit of targeted acquisitions plus organic growth.

Peter Fields, Chief Operating Officer: Dr Fields is also CEO of Azelis UK. As Azelis COO he is deeply involved in the acquisition activities of Azelis and is also responsible for driving the development of the corporate infrastructure of the Group with particular emphasis on Safety, Health, Environment and Quality and group-wide communications networks.

 

 

 

 

 

Michel Dubois, Chief Marketing Officer: In addition to being Managing Director of Azelis PECO and Chairman of the individual companies within PECO, M. Dubois is the primary contact with new suppliers and Principals in the development of new business opportunities. He also is responsible for driving excellence and consistency in the performance of the industry sector based Tutor Groups which serve to develop business synergies across the Azelis Group.

 

 

 

 

Joris Coppye, Corporate Development Officer: Mr Coppye is also Managing Director of Azelis Benelux. He has a career background in banking, initially as foreign trade advisor with KBC Bank. Apart from his statutory responsibilities as Corporate Development Officer for Azelis, he is also responsible for effective operation of the Group-wide business systems that enable Azelis to operate as a unified organization.

 

 

 

 

 

Massimo Pensotti, Chief Financial Officer: With a career background of finance within the chemical industry, Mr Pensotti is responsible at Azelis Group level for accounts and audits, financing and financial controls. He oversees the work of the International Finance Committee which has delegated responsibility for insurance, credit insurance and facility contracts.

 

 

 

Jens U. Schrøder

Jens U. Schrøder, Chief Human Resources Officer: Mr. Schrøder is also CEO of the Broste Group. As Chief HR Officer he is responsible for developing and embedding the Azelis culture throughout the organisation, employee satisfaction, management development and internal communication. He strongly believes that the various languages and cultures within the Azelis Group are great assets when building a strong international culture with dedicated and motivated resources.
