Building on the well established relationship with Azelis in Benelux, Ferro has extended the agreement with Azelis across Europe.
Rachel Stark, International Product Manager for Azelis said “We are delighted with the new distribution agreement and look forward to developing the Alcryn®business across the Azelis Group over the coming months. The Alcryn® MPR range strengthens and complements our Elastomer portfolio giving our customers a much broader spectrum of choice in this important polymer area.”
When it comes to true rubber performance, ordinary thermoplastic elastomers (TPEs) can’t compare to Alcryn® MPR. For more than 20 years, Alcryn® has brought the rich look and feel of vulcanized rubber to molded and extruded products around the world. It matches the elasticity, mechanical properties, and true, soft feel of rubber better than TPEs, offering a unique combination of performance properties like superior abrasion resistance, coefficient of friction, chemical/fuel/oil resistance, weatherability, environmental resistance, and more.
Unlike vulcanized rubber, Alcryn® processes with the ease of a plastic for tremendous cost savings. It requires no curing, pre-drying, or other time-consuming steps prior to processing, and it processes on standard plastics machinery. Plus, Alcryn® scrap can be recycled and reused without sacrificing performance.
Ferro’s Global Business Development Manager said: “Ferro Corporation’s Engineered Polymer Materials business is realigning its commercial sales and technical support structure in Europe for the Advanced Polymer Alloys product line. As part of its strategy, Ferro will begin to directly service Alcryn® MPR and DuraGrip® customers. This direct service, coupled with our established distribution network via Azelis, will enhance service time and product development efforts and allow Ferro to better serve its customers’ supply of Alcryn® MPR and DuraGrip® product lines in the region.”
