Azelis Benelux appoints new Managing Director
J.P. (Hanco) van den Akker, 41, has been appointed Managing Director of Azelis Benelux with effect from 1st of November 2008.
Mr van den Akker, a Dutch national, joins Azelis from Honeywell where he was responsible for specialty chemicals sales and distribution in Europe, Africa, Middle East and India.
He brings valuable experience as a Principal responsible for distribution and has a record of consistent, strong commercial achievement throughout his career with Akzo Nobel Chemicals, Cosun UA, Tokheim and Wavin.
Business growth in Benelux is a key strategic goal for Azelis and his initial focus will be to mobilise all potential synergies in Belgium in order to maximise sales.
Mr van den Akker has an MBA and a BSc in Chemical Engineering. He is married with a daughter and a son.
