Peter has over 16 years’ experience in the industry and holds a BSc in Physics. With expertise in R&D and product development for both branded and own label products, Peter also has a scientific publication to his name. In addition, Peter has provided support work for patents in laundry and personal lubricants.

Peter was recently involved in a project where a customer asked us to match a benchmark window cleaner gel formula, leader in the market. Peter didn't just match the product, in the rheology profile and colour, he further improved it. 

The great formulation dilemma is can you get the right performance from the ingredients you are using, or do you need to change the formula base and ingredients radically? Getting the right formulation solution quickly, is the challenge for a formulator.

Tracy has over 13 years’ experience within the industry. Tracy holds a BSc in Pharmacy and has over 8 years’ experience as an R&D engineer in an end-product company. In addition, Tracy is a regular presenter at technical seminars and supports laboratory development work in the Asia Pacific region.

Tracy was involved with developing the three award winning formulations that won the Personal Care Cosmetics Fountain Innovation Award at PCHi exhibition in Guangzhou, three years in a row.

Attitude decides everything, details determine success or failure. This is a beautiful career and I love this industry as we put the customer's needs first. We capture their imagination and ideas and help develop the perfect formulation.

Junior Fragrance Evaluation Manager, Home Care & Personal Care Poland

Łukasz holds an MSc in Cosmetic Chemistry and has over 9 years’ experience within the industry. Łukasz is regularly involved in local events held by the Azelis Poland team, often giving presentations at these seminars. Łukasz’s area of expertise is in the evaluation of fragrances.

Łukasz has close cooperation with the other Personal Care and Homecare & Industrial Cleaning laboratories, offering fragrance evaluation support globally across the Azelis Group. Working on customer projects, as well as laboratory workshops for customers and internal training.

I really enjoy what I do and am passionate about fragrances. Each day is very different to the next and love the challenge of finding the perfect fragrance for a new product.

Laboratory Manager, Home Care Italy

Michela has over 15 years’ experience in the Personal Care industry and holds a degree in chemistry, as well as being a member of SICC. Michela has a great deal of experience having previously formulated cosmetics at a contract manufacturers.

Michela was involved in developing ‘sorbet cream’ an innovative sorbet-like cream that leaves your skin feeling velvety, obtained through cold process. This cream was showcased at Making Cosmetics exhibition and won best innovation cream of 2016 Cosmoprof edition. This formulation later was presented to a large local brand in Italy who put the cream into manufacture and can now be purchased in shops around Italy.

I love developing new formulations and investigating new textures. By understanding the needs of the customer I can be proud to be a reliable technician for them.

Key Account Manager and Technical Applications Manager, Home Care & IC New Zealand

Ian Foster is Key Account Manager and Technical Applications Manager for Home Care & IC in New Zealand. Ian has over 40 years’ experience in the industry – 6 years in development of aerosol products, 6 years of product development in I&I, Homecare and Personal Care and 30 years’ technical sales with associated product development. He is also a member of the New Zealand Society of Cosmetic Chemists.

Ian has developed numerous homecare products for customers, working closely with Azelis New Zealand’s production capabilities. Many of these products can now be found in the Australian, UK and US retail markets, in addition to New Zealand.

I enjoy working closely with customers, taking ideas from concept stage through to production ready formulations, and then managing the subsequent business in a key account role.

Bala Malayattil is Laboratory Supervisor for the Home Care & IC lab in New Zealand. He holds a BSC (Hons) DipBusMgt and has over 33 years’ experience in the industry.

Bala’s area of expertise is formulation in the Homecare & Industrial Industries.

 

I gain great personal satisfaction from providing in-lab assistance to clients, enabling them to achieve the required outcome for new product development.

Eduardo Caballero
Technical Development Manager, Home Care & IC US

Eduardo Caballero is Technical Development Manager at the US Home Care and Industrial Cleaning lab. He holds a Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry and has over 33 years’ experience in the industry, developing Personal Care and Home Care and Industrial Cleaning products for retail and institutional markets as well as developing new chemical compounds for the Home Care and Industrial Cleaning market. 

Eduardo is a member of the American Oil Chemist Society and the International Sanitation Supply Association. 

Eduardo is proud of his application and composition of matter patents for hair care, hard surface cleaning, and oral care. His expertise lies in hard surface cleaning formulations. 

I have greatly enjoyed my time in this industry working with scientists from around the world. I especially enjoy working with our outstanding HIC Sales team as we’ve built Azelis’ US presence with record sales years each of the last four years.

Samuel Henstock is Laboratory Technician at the UK Home Care and Industrial Cleaning lab. He is currently studying for his BTEC Level 3 in Applied Science and has two years' experience in the industry. ​
