Azelis, a leading global innovation service provider in the specialty chemicals and food ingredients industry, announces it has completed upgrades and expansion to its Wisconsin facility to create another industry leading applications lab for customers and principals in the Americas.

The Wisconsin CASE application lab’s extensive capabilities will fully support the coatings, adhesives, sealants, and elastomers (CASE) business along with the construction, mortars market across the U.S. as well as Canada.

The upgraded, state of the art, Wisconsin CASE application lab will serve to host Azelis’ principals, customers, and internal teams, thus enabling closer technical collaboration and training. The recent renovation has added expanded meeting space, team offices, as well as esthetic improvements to highlight the connection to the businesses the lab supports. Since opening in 2010, the Wisconsin labs have grown substantially. As of 2023, Azeliz occupies nearly 10,000 square feet of laboratory space.

The Wisconsin lab has worked to meet Azelis’ initiatives for ISO certification and demonstrate a systematic approach to delivering value to our stakeholders. Application lab policies work to ensure that safety, compliance, and responsibility are foremost in all our activities.

Todd Cottrell, Azelis CEO Americas, comments:

“Innovation sits at the heart of Azelis. We strive to have the best lab facilities in the industry staffed with the brightest minds in formulation chemistry. The enhancements and renovations to our Wisconsin application lab adds yet another star to the Azelis constellation of high-quality labs located across the globe.”

Shiona Stewart, Azelis Managing Director CASE, US, adds:

“Our labs are a key component of our strategic goal: to help customers tap into our lateral value chain, to help solve their formulating challenges, collaborate with principals to understand materials, and innovate to find new applications for materials in our markets. These state of the art labs will also work with customers to develop testing protocols to best highlight the functionality of our formulation concepts.”

The new application lab is in Oak Creek, Wisconsin, a 20-minute drive southeast of downtown Milwaukee.
