Improve Adhesion in any formula with this Versatile Adhesion Promoter

CoatOSil MP 200 silane promotes adhesion in a broad range of applications via multiple epoxy and silane groups on each oligomer chain. Its gamma-gylcidoxy propyl epoxide ring reacts with many organic groups while its alkoxy silane groups promote adhesion to inorganic substrates. Condensation of its silanol groups can also provide crosslinks between polymer chains.

Case Study: Improved Blister Resistance with CoatOSil MP 200 Silane

A customer formulating a direct-to-metal epoxy system experienced blistering issues over a cold rolled steel after 250 hours of neutral salt spray (NSS) testing per ASTM B117. The addition of CoatOSil MP 200 Silane at 1% on total formulation weight eliminated blistering through 2000 hours of NSS. The customer is now beginning the process of adding MP 200 to all of their formulations. Note: These are reported results from a single customer within its particular formulation and processing conditions and, therefore, are not predictive of results under any particular circumstances. Performance will vary depending upon a number of factors. Each prospective customer must rely solely upon their own evaluation to determine the sustainability and effectiveness within its formulations and circumstances.
