PCHi 2018 award ceremony

Azelis has won the 2018 Fountain Award for Personal Care and Cosmetics Innovation at PCHi exhibition in Shanghai, China. Azelis is delighted to have been awarded this prestigious award for the fourth year in a row. Azelis was up against fierce competition, with a total of 103 product entries.

Azelis impressed the judges, all industry leading professionals, with its active ingredient Tagra CelluCaps™ C, a “green” microencapsulation delivery system that whitens the skin, increases cell renewal and prevents moisture loss. The CelluCaps™ range is based on Tagra’s unique Release on Demand™ (RND™) technology which is a method of providing stability, efficiency and controlled/immediate release for non-water soluble ingredients. Upon application while rubbing the formulation onto skin, the polymeric shell collapses and the microcapsules begin to fracture releasing the encapsulated active.

Jane Zhang, Head of Personal Care in China, comments: “We were up against fantastic entries from key players in our industry and it is a true honour to win the Fountain Award for Innovation for the fourth time. This is a true testament to our teams and am delighted that the innovative formulation developed by Azelis and based on a cutting edge ingredient provided by our partner Tagra has been rewarded with this recognition.”

Conrad Bucheleres, Managing Director China, adds: “We are thrilled to see that Tagra CelluCaps™ C has pleased the PCHi judges. The technical excellence of our people and the high quality ingredients delivered by our principals aids Azelis’ success. With over 21 years' combined experience and excellent market connect, our three formulation experts from our Personal Care team in China are more than well positioned to anticipate market trends and proactively offer innovative solutions. We are delighted with this award and will continue to excite the market through further development of new ideas and innovation, continually strengthening our offering to customers.”

PCHi places innovation at the heart of the show and aim to reward the expertise of participating companies. The competition included two rounds of evaluation of all the entries, judged by nine leading experts from both the cosmetics industry and government.

Azelis Personal Care won four innovation awards last year, including the 2017 Gold Formulation Award at Cosmetagora (Paris), Product Innovation Award at Ringier Technology Innovation Awards (China), Laura Marshall Innovation Award at SCS Formulate (UK) and the Cosmetics Fountain Innovation Award at PCHi exhibition. These awards are a prime example of Azelis expertise leading the way in the personal care market.
