Azelis, the reference innovation service provider in the speciality chemicals and food ingredients industry, is pleased to announce that it has been awarded an MSCI ESG Rating of AAA, the highest rating in MSCI's assessment framework.
- The AAA rating reassures customers and principals that they are partnering with a company that upholds the highest standards in sustainability, risk management and corporate governance, helping to build resilient, future-focused relationships.
- The rating is also a testament to the effectiveness of Azelis's sustainability programme, Impact 2030, which enables customers to make more informed choices and supports principals in advancing their own sustainability ambitions.
MSCI ESG Ratings assess companies on their resilience to financially relevant, industry-specific sustainability risks and opportunities. Companies are assigned a rating from AAA to CCC based on how effectively they manage these risks and opportunities relative to their peers.
The upgrade from AA to AAA reflects the continued strengthening of Azelis's governance framework. According to MSCI, improvements in corporate governance practices contributed to the rating increase, including enhanced board independence and independent oversight structures.
Michael Heite, Group Sustainability Director at Azelis, comments:
"Achieving the highest possible MSCI ESG Rating is an important milestone for Azelis and a recognition of the progress we have made across our sustainability journey. Sustainability and good governance are embedded in how we operate, make decisions, and create value for our stakeholders. This rating reflects the dedication of our teams worldwide and reinforces our commitment to continuous improvement and responsible growth."
The MSCI ESG Rating adds to a growing number of external recognitions of Azelis's sustainability performance, including its EcoVadis Gold Medal, CDP A- and Supplier Engagement Leader status, and Sustainalytics ESG Risk Rating.
Impact 2030 is Azelis's long-term sustainability programme, built around four pillars: portfolio, environment, people, and governance. Through Impact 2030, Azelis supports customers and principals in advancing their sustainability ambitions while driving sustainable innovation, reducing emissions, strengthening governance, and creating positive impact across its value chain and the communities where it operates.
