Azelis, the reference innovation service provider in the speciality chemicals and food ingredients industry, is pleased to announce the appointment of Benoit Fritz as CEO Azelis Asia Pacific and, accordingly, member of the company’s Executive Committee. Effective 12 September 2025, Benoit succeeds Sertaç Sürür, who is leaving the company for personal reasons.
Benoit Fritz joined Azelis in 2010 as Principal Development Director and has since held key leadership roles, including Managing Director for Azelis France for 10 years, and COO Asia Pacific for the past year, where he has successfully brought strategic initiatives to fruition and has strengthened commercial partnerships and advanced talent development across the region. Before joining Azelis, Benoit had built up strong commercial know-how at Safic-Alcan, DuPont-Dow Elastomers, and Dow Wire & Cable. He holds a Master of Advanced Studies from the École Normale Supérieure and a Master of Science from Pierre and Marie Curie University (Paris VI), in France, in organic and bio-organic chemistry.
Sertaç has been with Azelis for over a decade, first as Managing Director of Azelis Türkiye where he successfully grew the company both organically and through acquisitions and then, for the past three years, as CEO Asia Pacific. He has been instrumental in executing the business strategy and strengthening the company’s footprint in the region by successfully closing a number of acquisitions in APAC, facilitating the successful integration of the acquired companies and extending strategic relationships with existing and new key principals.
Appointing Benoit underpins Azelis’s commitment to fostering talent from within and ensuring strong continuity in its strategic vision.
