Recognised in the Functional Chemicals category, this award acknowledges Azelis’s formulation expertise, in-depth ingredient knowledge and ability to bridge functionality with real market needs.
- Customers benefit from Azelis’s award-winning formulation expertise, which delivers innovative, high-performance solutions that address real consumer needs, including long wear, breathability and skin-balancing effects in makeup.
- Principals gain added value through Azelis’s ability to translate ingredient functionality into recognised innovations that drive differentiation and market growth.
- This award underscores Azelis’s role as an innovation partner for customers and principals, combining technical insight and formulation expertise with a forward-looking approach to advance personal care solutions.
Azelis was awarded for its in-depth technical evaluation of the winning ingredient, which included extensive assessment, research, and analysis of its efficacy, functionality and market viability. Following a comprehensive review and performance testing, Miyoshi’s MiyoSTAY SZ was submitted for consideration and eventually selected as the winning ingredient.
MiyoSTAY SZ, a mica and zinc oxide functional compound powder, won under the Functional Chemicals category. A multi-functional powder, MiyoSTAY SZ supports long-lasting and effective makeup retention while offering antibacterial benefits and acne control. Its inclusion in personal care products delivers superior performance, particularly in foundation makeup applications. Unlike most powders that merely absorb sebum, MiyoSTAY SZ selectively binds to and solidifies unsaturated fatty acids. This prevents oil from spreading and transferring, extending foundation wear time and enhancing adhesion to skin. Additionally, the powder remains breathable, addressing consumer demand for makeup that balances skin sebum while providing long-lasting performance.
Jackson Chu, Managing Director of Azelis China, says:
“We are delighted to have been recognised for our team’s spirit of innovation and commitment to delivering creative, sustainable solutions for our principals and customers. As an innovation partner, we are grateful to have collaborators such as Miyoshi, with whom we celebrate our longstanding partnership of over ten years.”
