Azelis showcases ‘Texture Plus - the quest for aesthetics and efficacy’ at in-cosmetics Global 2023

Azelis, a leading innovation service provider in the specialty chemicals and food ingredients industry, is pleased to announce its participation at in-cosmetics Global 2023 in Barcelona, Spain, a prominent B2B beauty and personal care exhibition for EMEA and beyond.

Azelis’ presence in the personal care market has significantly expanded over the past few years through investments and strategic partnerships. The group’s substantial growth with blue-chip principals demonstrates its commitment to delivering innovative solutions for the personal care industry through a comprehensive product portfolio.

Participating at in-cosmetics allows Azelis to showcase its technical expertise through innovative and sustainable formulations. For this event, Personal Care application laboratories in Spain, France, the United Kingdom, Germany, South Africa, Poland, Italy, Turkey, and Egypt collaborated with regional marketing and business development teams to formulate a set of ground-breaking formulations, all under the theme of ‘Texture Plus.’ The challenge was to find the best textures but with great efficacy.

Combining technical expertise with sustainability and efficacy in mind, 12 new formulations were developed that showcase a range of exciting textures, backed by scientific claims tested using in-house evaluation capabilities. Covering a wide range of personal care applications, from hair care, sun care, color cosmetics, skincare and beyond, the Azelis innovation team developed a range of unique textures, including powders, mousses, sorbets and jellies, each with supporting data showing they don’t just feel good, but they perform perfectly too.  

Azelis’ new formulations include a lip and cheek duo containing a soft pink sorbet lip and cheek tint and a glittering gold beauty balm to add a flash of sparkle to your makeup look. The ‘Squidgy Bath Buddy’ can be shaped and molded in playful ways, making bath time fun while building a beautiful cleansing foam.

To demonstrate its innovative solutions and provide fresh beauty inspiration to customers, Azelis submitted two formulations for the in-cosmetics Sensory Award, ‘Perfectly Powdery Oil’ and ‘Sensory Silk Aftersun,’ and two formulations for the Make-Up Award, ‘Soft Sorbet Lip and Cheek Tint’ along with ‘Sparkle Time Beauty Balm.’ All four formulations have been developed to give consumers a ‘wow feeling’ with added benefits.

During in-cosmetics Global 2023, Azelis will also participate in the Formulation Lab on Tuesday, March 28^th, hosting a formulation session on formulating cold process crème gels. On Wednesday, March 29^th, the Technical team will present ‘Texture plus – the quest for aesthetics and efficacy’ at the Technical Seminar session.
