Azelis showcases formulations that fuse nature with science at in-cosmetics Asia 2022

Azelis, a leading innovation service provider in the specialty chemicals and food ingredients industry, is pleased to announce its participation at in-cosmetics Asia 2022 in Bangkok, Thailand, a prominent B2B beauty and personal care exhibition for Asia Pacific.
Azelis’ presence in the personal care market has greatly expanded over the past few years through meaningful investments and strategic partnerships. The group’s substantial growth with blue-chip principals demonstrates its commitment to deliver innovative solutions for the Personal Care industry through a comprehensive product portfolio. Since 2020, the group completed seven personal care acquisitions in Asia Pacific, leading to exponential growth and a strong local personal care footprint across the region. This event is also the opportunity to meet with Azelis’ latest acquisition in Thailand, Catalite Co., Ltd., a leading personal care specialty distributor.
Participating at in-cosmetics Asia is a reflection of Azelis’ strategic vision, allowing the group to showcase its technical expertise through innovative and sustainable formulations. For this event, three personal care-dedicated application laboratories in China, Vietnam, and the Philippines collaborated with regional marketing and business development teams to formulate a set of ground-breaking formulations, all under the theme of nature and science in harmony.
Combining technical expertise and a focus on creating sustainable solutions, 11 formulations were developed that celebrate natural ingredients and are backed by scientific claims. Azelis’ innovation team translated leading market trends into different applications, from skin care to hair care, sun care and mouthwash, with the formulation set organized into three categories, Replenish, Revive and Refresh.
Taking Azelis’ award-winning formulation from in-cosmetics Global 2022 and tailoring the formulation to key trends in Asia Pacific, Azelis’ technical experts created three different versions of the OUT Gummy - moisturizing, anti-aging and anti-acne - to target consumers’ top skin concerns. Formulated using a synergistic blend of natural hydrocolloid gums, the OUT Gummy is a jelly-like gummy that can be diluted in hot water to become a facial mask.
To demonstrate its innovative solutions and provide fresh beauty inspiration to customers, Azelis submitted a novel in-house-developed formulation, 24h Happy Hydra Barrier Cream, to in-cosmetics Asia’s Spotlight On award, in the Healthy Skin category. This creative and inventive formulation is designed to intensely hydrate and nourish skin while providing a happy, comforting and refreshing sensory profile. This advanced skin care solution is composed of eco-certified ingredients, demonstrating how Azelis blends scientific knowledge with the use of naturally-sourced ingredients to bring nature closer to consumers.
