Azelis strengthens its sustainability leadership with latest CDP and EcoVadis ratings

26 January 2026

Azelis, the reference innovation service provider for the speciality chemicals and food ingredients industry, has started 2026 strong with two new sustainability ratings: a CDP rating of A-, placing it in the Leadership category, and an EcoVadis Gold rating. These recognitions build on Azelis’s top industry rating from Sustainalytics and its MSCi AA rating, reinforcing its position as a sustainability leader in its industry.

  • For customers, they demonstrate Azelis’s ability to support the development and selection of more sustainable solutions through transparency, data, and expertise.
  • For principals, the ratings confirm that Azelis is a trusted partner with robust governance, strong risk management, and a structured approach to advancing sustainability ambitions.
  • For Azelis, the ratings validate the progress of its sustainability programme, Impact 2030, and support its ambition to strengthen market leadership, operate as one agile organisation, and continue building a differentiated, future-ready business through innovation and sustainable growth.

Achieving an A- score from CDP places Azelis in the Leadership category regarding environmental performance and transparency. The rating reflects comprehensive action: establishing best practices, creating detailed action plans, and using verified data. It also reflects how deeply sustainability is integrated into strategy and operations, placing Azelis among the leaders in managing environmental impact.

The EcoVadis Gold rating positions Azelis among the top 5% of businesses worldwide assessed for sustainability. The rating reflects strong performance across environment, labour & human rights, ethics, and sustainable procurement, with detailed policies, evidence, and leadership commitment beyond basic compliance.

Together with the top industry rating from Sustainalytics and the MSCI AA rating achieved in 2025, these recognitions underscore the ambition and effectiveness of Impact 2030, Azelis’s sustainability programme. Impact 2030 is designed to foster best practices across the organisation, reduce environmental impact, and create long-term value for all stakeholders.

Anna Bertona, Azelis Group CEO, comments:

“With these ratings, we are translating ambition into tangible progress. They reflect the disciplined, compliant, and increasingly impactful way Azelis approaches sustainability, and provide reassurance that we are embedding it effectively across the business. More than just benchmarks, they reinforce our position as a trusted partner that applies science and innovation to create more sustainable solutions for customers, while supporting the long-term growth of our principals.”

Michael Heite, Azelis Group Sustainability Director, adds:

“It’s clear that Impact 2030 is translating ambition into measurable action. From climate performance and transparency to responsible business practices and sustainable procurement, we are seeing tangible progress across the Group. Most importantly, sustainability at Azelis is becoming part of everyday business, driven by our teams, engaged and committed to delivering long-term value responsibly.”
