Aparna Khurana holds a Bachelor’s degree with specialisation in Textiles & Fibres Processing Technology from the Institute of Chemical Technology, Mumbai. She has 20 years’ experience in the speciality chemicals field and has held key positions in business development, sales and customer management and market expansion. Her areas of expertise include personal care, textiles, healthcare, household and industrial markets.
Prior to joining Azelis, Aparna worked for a global science company as Business Head South Asia – Home and Personal Care, where she achieved growth in the region with new business and market exploration. She received the ‘AmaXing Achievement Award’ in 2012 for demonstrating excellent leadership to grow business in a challenging year and improve brand awareness. In 2006 and 2008, she also won the ‘Global Sales Achievement Award’ for excellence in improving market penetration.
In December 2016 Aparna joined Azelis to lead our business in India as Managing Director, based in Mumbai
With a German Diplom Kfm. (Management) and an MBA from Rutgers University in New Jersey, USA, Conrad began his career in Strategy Consulting. He was then General Manager for a German-Chinese joint venture in Biomass and Coal Chemistry and after 5 years moved into a Business Development role for a Specialty Chemicals Manufacturer. Conrad then worked as Head of Business Development, Siemens Oil and Gas division for 3 years before joining Azelis, where as Managing Director he is now responsible for all business activities in China.
Camiel studied in the United States at East Carolina University (BSc Business) and at the University of Amsterdam in The Netherlands (MSc Economics). He started his career at ExxonMobil in Finance and Marketing for industrial products and lubricants and continued in Marketing and Sales Management roles with distributor Hagemeyer and with Life Science and Material Science manufacturer DSM. During his career Camiel has worked and lived in The Netherlands, UK, Germany and China.
Prior to joining Azelis Camiel was Global Business Development Manager within the Engineering Plastics division of DSM. In 2013 he joined Azelis and transferred from Europe to Sydney Australia to lead our business in Australia as Managing Director.
Visava graduated in Chemical Engineering and hold his Masters in Petrochemical Technologies from Chulalongkorn University. He has 10 years experience with WR GRACE where he served in several management positions including Sales Manager Indo-China for Silica Product, Southeast & South Asia Manager for Engineer Materials and General Sales Manager SE Asia for Darex Packaging. He also earned experience of Chemical Distribution when working for Behn Meyer (T) Co., Ltd and led the business for the Petroleum Department. Visava joined Azelis in 2015 as Managing Director Thailand.
Le Bach Kha graduated from HCMC Polytechnic University (Saigon) as Chemical Engineer in 1993 and later completed an MBA at CFVG (Centre Franco Vietnamien de Formation a la Gestion). Following his studies, Kha held sales positions in Rhone Poulenc and Rhodia, before becoming Commercial Manager and then Chief Rep for Brenntag. After a role in New Business Development for DuPont, Kha returned to Brenntag as General Manager for Industrial Chemicals before joining Azelis as Managing Director for Vietnam in 2015.
Prihantono holds a Master's degree in Material Science from the Indonesia University and a Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering from the Diponegoro University.
Prior to joining Azelis, Prihantono worked as Senior Manager Global Formulation Technology, Crop Protection Division, for a world leading chemical company. He joined Azelis after spending 23 years in the crop protection business in Indonesia, Singapore and Germany. Before this assignment, he worked as Regional Operation Head Asia Pacific, Crop Protection Division, in Singapore. In his earlier career, he has worked for a global enterprise in various function such as Supply Chain and Site Management.
Prihantono joined Azelis as Managing Director, Indonesia, in January 2017. He is an Indonesian national, interested in football and basketball and is married without children
Hirotaka Kawano holds a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from the Chuo University, Tokyo. Kawano has over 30 years’ experience in logistics, procurement and finance. He started his career with a global chemicals company in Japan in the import and export department. Prior to joining Azelis, his position was Head of Regional Logistics Japan and Group Procurement Japan. He spent almost 33 years for Hoechst and Clariant being responsible for Einkauf in Frankfurt, International Trading (export sales) as Team Manager and Controlling Head in Japan.
Kawano joined Azelis as Managing Director, Japan, 1st January 2017. He is proficient in both English and German and lives with his wife and two sons in Urawa-city, Saitama. He enjoys playing golf on weekends and also watching baseball and football.
Matt graduated the University of Auckland, New Zealand, with a Bachelor's Degree in Commerce (Strategy and Operations Management) and a Bachelor's Degree in Arts (History and Politics).
Matt has 15 years’ experience in the speciality chemicals industry in New Zealand and Australia with roles in Supply Chain Management and Technical Sales for Personal Care, Homecare and Industrial, and Surface Coatings. In most recent role as Chief Operating Officer for Chemcolour Industries AU/NZ, Matt was responsible for manufacturing sites in both New Zealand and Australia for the production of industrial chemicals supplied into the Agriculture, Timber Treatment, Building Products, Homecare and Paper Converting markets.
Following the December 2017 acquisition of Chemcolour Industries, Matt has joined Azelis as Managing Director New Zealand.
Laurent temporarily combines the role of CEO of the APAC region with managing the business as Managing Director in Malaysia.
He holds a Master’s Degree in Engineering from the Engineering School of Industrial Chemistry of Lyon, France and an MBA from the Sorbonne Graduate Business School in Paris, France. He spent the first six years of his career in R&D and production for a French based heavy detergents company.
In 2012 Nataf was appointed Group Chief Operating Officer, a position he held until the recent appointment for CEO and President Asia Pacific in August 2016. He and his family have relocated to Singapore, following this last appointment.
