Laurent Nataf holds a Master’s Degree in Engineering from the Engineering School of Industrial Chemistry of Lyon, France and an MBA from the Sorbonne Graduate Business School in Paris, France. He spent the first six years of his career in R&D and production for a French based heavy detergents company.
In 2003 Laurent became Marketing and Sales Manager for Arnaud (founded in 1908 and merged with Italian company Novorchem to form Azelis in 2001).
His initial responsibilities at Arnaud included intermediates, custom synthesis, formulation additives and active ingredients. He went on to assume the role of International Business Director Chemical Industries in 2008, assumed responsibility for Composites in 2010, and then took on overall responsibility for the Azelis Industrial Chemicals business.
In 2012 Laurent was appointed Group Chief Operating Officer, a position he held until the recent appointment for CEO and President Asia Pacific in August 2016. He and his family have relocated to Singapore, following this last appointment.
In his spare time, Laurent enjoys football and travelling and tries to spend a lot of time with his two young daughters.
Camiel studied in the United States at East Carolina University (BSc Business) and at the University of Amsterdam in The Netherlands (MSc Economics). He started his career at ExxonMobil in Finance and Marketing for industrial products and lubricants and continued in Marketing and Sales Management roles with distributor Hagemeyer and with Life Science and Material Science manufacturer DSM. During his career, Camiel has worked and lived in The Netherlands, UK, Germany and China.
Prior to joining Azelis, Camiel was Global Business Development Manager within the Engineering Plastics division of DSM. In 2013 he joined Azelis and transferred from Europe to Sydney, Australia to lead our business in Australia as Managing Director.
Jackson started his career in specialty chemicals after graduating from the University of Auckland with a Bachelor's degree in Biotechnology. He also holds an EMBA degree from HEC Paris and has been living in China with his family for more than 15 years. With over 20 years of experience, in particular focusing on food ingredients, he joined Azelis in early 2019 as the Managing Director for Greater China.
Aparna Khurana holds a Bachelor’s degree with a specialization in Textiles & Fibres Processing Technology from the Institute of Chemical Technology, Mumbai. She has 20 years of experience in the specialty chemicals field and has held key positions in business development, sales and customer management, and market expansion. Her areas of expertise include personal care, textiles, healthcare, household, and industrial markets.
Prior to joining Azelis, Aparna worked for a global science company as Business Head South Asia – Home and Personal Care, where she achieved growth in the region with new business and market exploration. She received the ‘AmaXing Achievement Award’ in 2012 for demonstrating excellent leadership by growing the business in a challenging year and improving brand awareness. In 2006 and 2008, she also won the ‘Global Sales Achievement Award’ for excellence in improving market penetration.
In December 2016, Aparna joined Azelis to lead our business in India as Managing Director, based in Mumbai.
Prihantono holds a Master's degree in Material Science from the Indonesia University and a Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering from the Diponegoro University.
Prior to joining Azelis, Prihantono worked as Senior Manager Global Formulation Technology, Crop Protection Division, for a world leading chemical company. He joined Azelis after spending 23 years in the crop protection business in Indonesia, Singapore and Germany. Before this assignment, he worked as Regional Operation Head Asia Pacific, Crop Protection Division, in Singapore. In his earlier career, he worked for a global enterprise in various functions such as Supply Chain and Site Management.
Prihantono joined Azelis as Managing Director, Indonesia, in January 2017.
Hirotaka Kawano holds a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from the Chuo University, Tokyo. Kawano has over 30 years of experience in logistics, procurement and finance. He started his career with a global chemicals company in Japan in the import and export department. Prior to joining Azelis, his position was Head of Regional Logistics Japan and Group Procurement Japan. He spent almost 33 years working for Hoechst and Clariant, being responsible for Einkauf in Frankfurt, International Trading (export sales) as Team Manager and Controlling Head in Japan.
Kawano joined Azelis as Managing Director, Japan, on 1st January 2017.
Dr. Tim Loughnane holds a Ph.D. in Materials and Process Engineering as well as a Master of Science and Bachelor of Science in the same fields from Waikato University, New Zealand.
He holds 20 years of experience in international executive roles, leading teams and businesses across Asia Pacific in the industrial sector. Through his career, he built a strong expertise in developing new markets, leading change, and ensuring sustainable, profitable growth. He worked for six years at BASF in New Zealand and Singapore, and another six at Connell, a distributor, in the Philippines, Vietnam, Indonesia and Singapore.
Tim joined Azelis in 2021 as Managing Director New Zealand to lead the local sales team, implement and execute the country business strategy, manage the strategic principals' evolution, optimize the portfolio, and ensure the country's compliance.
Mann Sup Ryoo holds a Bachelor's degree in Chemicals from Yonsei University.
Mann Sup has over 40 years of experience in the specialty personal care ingredient industry. He started his career with Amore Pacific as a researcher in the R&D center specializing in formulation development. Over the next 14 years, he gained a wealth of experience at Amore Pacific as a purchasing manager and as a manager in the technical planning team, where he developed technical knowledge of Personal Care as well as the global distribution of raw materials. He joined SammiChem in 1996 to lead the personal care distribution business and develop innovative applications and formulations, in particular the first silicone emulsion for Korea, paving the way for the development of the hair care sector. He helped lead SammiChem to double digit growth for years and established strategic partnerships with many global partners.
Mann Sup became Managing Director of Sammi Azelis following the acquisition of SammiChem by Azelis in 2018.
Visava graduated with a degree in Chemical Engineering and hold his Masters in Petrochemical Technologies from Chulalongkorn University.
He has 10 years experience with WR GRACE where he served in several management positions including Sales Manager Indo-China for Silica Product, Southeast & South Asia Manager for Engineer Materials and General Sales Manager SE Asia for Darex Packaging. He also gained experience in Chemical Distribution when working for Behn Meyer (T) Co., Ltd and led the business for the Petroleum Department.
Visava joined Azelis in 2015 as Managing Director Thailand.
Viet Anh Vu holds a PhD in Organic Chemistry from Ludwig-Maximilians University, Munich, Germany, a Master in Medical and Pharmaceutical Research from Vrije University, Brussels, Belgium and a B.S in Pharmacy.
Anh has 14 years of experience with Jebsen & Jessen where he served as Business Support Manager for Jebsen & Jessen Chemicals and Business Manager for JJ-Lapp Cable Vietnam, before becoming General Director JJ-Lapp Cable Vietnam.
Anh joined Azelis in 2020 as Managing Director Vietnam.
Melvin Lim holds a Master of Business Administration from University of Wales and an Advanced Diploma in Materials Engineering from University College Tunku Abdul Rahman.
Melvin has over 27 years of experience in the chemicals distribution business. Prior to joining Azelis, Melvin held senior positions with Connell Bros., Texchem Materials and Arkema, where he developed his deep knowledge of the specialty chemicals industry.
Melvin joined Azelis as Managing Director, Malaysia on 1st July 2019.
