Sertaç Sürür joined Azelis in 2015 as Managing Director for Azelis Turkey, and in 2017 took on the additional role of Market Segment Director of Rubber & Plastic Additives.
In 2022, Mr. Sürür was appointed as CEO & President Asia Pacific.
Sertaç holds a Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering from Istanbul Technical University and a Master's Degree in Business Administration from the National University of San Diego, California. He has a wealth of experience in the chemical industry, having worked for over 20 years in commercial roles in Turkey, the U.S., Netherlands and Switzerland at companies such as DSM, Brenntag, Ravago and Akkim.
Camiel studied in the United States at East Carolina University (BSc Business) and at the University of Amsterdam in The Netherlands (MSc Economics). He started his career at ExxonMobil in Finance and Marketing for industrial products and lubricants and continued in Marketing and Sales Management roles with distributor Hagemeyer and with Life Science and Material Science manufacturer DSM. During his career, Camiel has worked and lived in The Netherlands, UK, Germany and China.
Prior to joining Azelis, Camiel was Global Business Development Manager within the Engineering Plastics division of DSM. In 2013 he joined Azelis and transferred from Europe to Sydney, Australia to lead our business in Australia as Managing Director.
Jackson started his career in specialty chemicals after graduating from the University of Auckland with a Bachelor's degree in Biotechnology. He also holds an EMBA degree from HEC Paris and has been living in China with his family for more than 15 years. With over 20 years of experience, in particular focusing on food ingredients, he joined Azelis in early 2019 as the Managing Director for Greater China.
Aparna Khurana holds a Bachelor’s degree with a specialization in Textiles & Fibres Processing Technology from the Institute of Chemical Technology, Mumbai. She has 20 years of experience in the specialty chemicals field and has held key positions in business development, sales and customer management, and market expansion. Her areas of expertise include personal care, textiles, healthcare, household, and industrial markets.
Prior to joining Azelis, Aparna worked for a global science company as Business Head South Asia – Home and Personal Care, where she achieved growth in the region with new business and market exploration. She received the ‘AmaXing Achievement Award’ in 2012 for demonstrating excellent leadership by growing the business in a challenging year and improving brand awareness. In 2006 and 2008, she also won the ‘Global Sales Achievement Award’ for excellence in improving market penetration.
In December 2016, Aparna joined Azelis to lead our business in India as Managing Director, based in Mumbai.
Astri Primadevi holds a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from the University of Indonesia, and is a certified public accountant.
Astri has over 18 years of experience with MNCs and Big Four Accounting Firms in industries ranging from Oil and Gas, Mining and Commodities trading. Astri has held several key management roles at PricewaterhouseCoopers, Cargill and Hewlett-Packard, where she played a pivotal part in the strategic business decisions of each company.
In 2017, she joined Azelis as Finance Controller and become Managing Director of Azelis Indonesia in 2021.
Hirotaka Kawano holds a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from the Chuo University, Tokyo. Kawano has over 30 years of experience in logistics, procurement and finance. He started his career with a global chemicals company in Japan in the import and export department. Prior to joining Azelis, his position was Head of Regional Logistics Japan and Group Procurement Japan. He spent almost 33 years working for Hoechst and Clariant, being responsible for Einkauf in Frankfurt, International Trading (export sales) as Team Manager and Controlling Head in Japan.
Kawano joined Azelis as Managing Director, Japan, on 1st January 2017.
Young Yull Kim holds a Master’s degree in Organic Chemistry from Yonsei University as well as a Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry from the same school.
Young Yull has over 30 years of experience in the chemical industry, where he started his career at Henkel as a Business Manager, followed by regional roles at Cognis where he rose to Vice President. Young Yull has a wealth of experience in international management roles, leading teams and businesses across Asia Pacific. Prior to joining Azelis, Young Yull was Senior Vice President at BASF, where he led the growth and development of the business across the region and established strategic partnerships with global players.
Young Yull joined Azelis in 2021 as CEO Korea to lead the local country organization and represent Azelis in Korea, implementing the defined strategy for Azelis’ specialty chemical distribution structure while building the team into a leading service organization.
Sylvia Wee holds an MBA from the University of Sunderland, UK and a Bachelor’s degree in Nutrition Science from the University of Kebangsaan, Malaysia.
With over 15 years of experience in the specialty chemicals industry, Sylvia brings a deep understanding of the Food & Nutrition, Pharmaceutical, and Personal Care sectors. Beginning her career as a nutritionist at BP Healthcare Group, Sylvia transitioned into sales roles at InterMed and DKSH, where she gained extensive commercial experience. Over the past eight years, she has successfully held leadership positions within the industry. Prior to joining Azelis, Sylvia served as Country Manager at Barentz, leading the daily operations of its Malaysia entity including the management of key global customer accounts.
Sylvia joined Azelis Malaysia in January 2024 as Managing Director to drive growth through principal partnerships, market expansion, operational excellence, and digital, innovation, and sustainability strategies.
Dr. Tim Loughnane holds a Ph.D. in Materials and Process Engineering as well as a Master of Science and Bachelor of Science in the same fields from Waikato University, New Zealand.
He holds 20 years of experience in international executive roles, leading teams and businesses across Asia Pacific in the industrial sector. Through his career, he built a strong expertise in developing new markets, leading change, and ensuring sustainable, profitable growth. He worked for six years at BASF in New Zealand and Singapore, and another six at Connell, a distributor, in the Philippines, Vietnam, Indonesia and Singapore.
Tim joined Azelis in 2021 as Managing Director New Zealand to lead the local sales team, implement and execute the country business strategy, manage the strategic principals' evolution, optimize the portfolio, and ensure the country's compliance.
Terry del Rosario holds a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from Mapua Institute of Technology (Mapua University) and is a licensed chemical engineer.
Terry has over 34 years of experience in the specialty chemicals industry. Her areas of expertise started with technology and innovation on life sciences and institutional and industrial fields.
She has held key positions in business development, key account management, sales excellence and technical marketing.
Prior to joining Azelis, Terry held senior posts at APKI where she was responsible for managing the business, ensuring growth and driving strategic partnerships from global entities. Previous experience included positions with Henkel, Cognis Thailand (now BASF), where she developed her deep knowledge of the chemicals industry.
Terry became Managing Director of Azelis Philippines following the acquisitions of APKI and PSSI by Azelis in 2021.
Visava graduated with a degree in Chemical Engineering and hold his Masters in Petrochemical Technologies from Chulalongkorn University.
He has 10 years experience with WR GRACE where he served in several management positions including Sales Manager Indo-China for Silica Product, Southeast & South Asia Manager for Engineer Materials and General Sales Manager SE Asia for Darex Packaging. He also gained experience in Chemical Distribution when working for Behn Meyer (T) Co., Ltd and led the business for the Petroleum Department.
Visava joined Azelis in 2015 as Managing Director Thailand and became Southeast Asia & Thailand Managing Director in 2020.
Kamal Hezry holds a MBA in International Business from the University of Bristol, UK and a Bachelor of Engineering in Chemical Process & Materials Engineering from the University of Nottingham, UK.
Kamal has over 22 years of experience in the industrial chemicals industry, with a focus on the Care, Adhesives, Specialty Monomers and Oleochemical sectors. His experience spans multiple executive level roles in Malaysia, Indonesia, and Thailand, where he gained his wealth of knowledge in leading high net-worth businesses and driving strategic growth to new levels.
Throughout his career, he has built strong expertise in business development, sales excellence and key account management. His past roles include positions with Henkel, Cognis, and Emery, where he led the development and execution of strategic plans for a multitude of initiatives across Asia Pacific.
Kamal joined Azelis in 2021 as Director of MKVN and Viet Chemi, following the acquisition of both companies by Azelis in 2021.
